Sending emails based on delivery time

Using the Scuti Shopify app, you can send your review or referral email to your customers according to the delivery time. For example, you can schedule to send the review request email “2 days after delivery”. This should be set up in the “STEP 3: Emails” of campaign creation (learn more).

But, before choosing this option, you should set up the delivery timing for your store using either (1) Scuti + AfterShip integration or (2) Shopify’s shipment_status field on orders.

AfterShip integration

First, you need to make sure you have an AfterShip account. Also, if you want AfterShip automatically imports your shipments, you need to connect your Shopify store to your AfterShip account from your AfterShip/Apps page or by installing the Shopify AfterShip app. Learn more details here.

Then, AfterShip will start importing the shipments automatically once you start fulfilling the order in your Shopify store. Now you’re ready to integrate the Scuti app with AfterShip by following the instruction below:

  1. Go to your AfterShip’s webhook page and copy the “Webhook secret”.
  2. From your Scuti app, go to the Integrations page from the left menu and open the AfterShip Integration.
  3. Paste the “Webhook secret” in the “Webhook Secret” field.
  4. Copy the Afterhship webhook URL from your Scuti Integration page and open the Aftership’s webhook page again.
  5. Click the “Add webhook URL” button and paste the URL link in the “Webhook URL” field.
  6. Click on the “Integrate” button on your Scuti AfterShip Integration page.

Now, you can edit/set up the “STEP 3: Emails” of your active campaign, and schedule the review/referral sending time according to the delivery time. AfterShip notifies Scuti whenever your order is delivered and Scuti will send emails to your customers according to your config.

Shopify’s delivery tracking

Scuti can also schedule the review/referral request emails according to the shipment_status field on each order. In this way, Shopify will notify Scuti whenever your order is delivered.

Shopify will send the delivery notification to Scuti and update the shipment_status field only if you are actively tracking your packages (learn more). You can also use Shopify Shipping labels that allow you to track packages from popular shipping companies like USPS, UPS, DHL Express, etc. The other way to update the shipment_status field is to use 3rd-party Shopify tracking apps.

Once you make sure this field is actively getting updated, you can edit/set up the “STEP 3: Emails” of your active campaign, and schedule the review/referral sending time according to the delivery time.
